Physical allure obviously aside, the readers of yet another "expert" source with this kind of list has deemed Fox the foxiest because of growing fame and her ability to addictively hold her fans captive over a sea of other worthy women. Fox's big movie break not only clearly helped but quite certainly was actually the clincher. Would her current fans have even known about her without "Transformers" to vote her No. 1 let alone anywhere in the top 100? Likely not.
While beauty is in the eye of the beholder and everyone defines beauty differently, a hot boyfriend seemed to help Fox, too, overcome even 2007's champ -- Jessica Alba -- who chimed in at a very respectable No. 3 in this year's list.
What about smarts, scandals and public disdain? It all comes down to raw sex appeal. Forever etched in people's minds is Fox's arched-back photo bending over beside a car in "Transformers" and her ability to not only look the part but sell it, too, is why she's earned the top spot.
Keira Knightley made No. 10, Angelina Jolie made No. 9, Hilary Duff made No. 8, Cheryl Cole made No. 7, Scarlett Johansson made No. 6, Hayden Panettiere made No. 5, and Britney Spears just barely rounded out the list at No. 100.
